A revered songwriter, who's also found modest success as an artist, Brandy Clark has been a trusted voice in and around Nashville for more than a decade.

With cuts from the likes of Sheryl Crow, Miranda Lambert, the Band Perry, Reba McEntire, LeAnn Rimes, Billy Currington, Darius Rucker and Kacey Musgraves, Clark has cemented herself as one of the most gifted wordsmiths in modern country music.

Hailing from a small logging town in Washington, she began playing guitar and writing songs at nine years old, while also singing in school musicals. As she concentrated on athletics throughout high school, she nabbed a scholarship to Central Washington University but ended up shifting back to music as she enrolled at Nashville's Belmont University in 1998.

A member of the music business program, she doubled down on her songwriting, performing and networking, finding a supporter in renowned tunesmith Shane McAnally.

Come 2010, she was landing songs on Reba McEntire's All the Women I Am record, including 'Cry' and 'The Day She Got Divorced'.

By 2011, she had earned cuts from Ashton Shepherd ('Tryin' to Go to Church'), LeAnn Rimes ('Crazy Women') and, most notably, Miranda Lambert, whose 'Mama's Broken Heart' peaked at No. 2 in 2013 and earned a nomination for Song of the Year at the 47th Annual CMA Awards.

One of CMT's 2013 Next Women of Country, she made her debut as an artist that same year with the release of 12 Stories, which debuted at No. 28 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

Her second record, Big Day in a Small Town, came three years later, with its lead single, 'Girl Next Door', reaching No. 39 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart. Clark's third album, Your Life Is a Record, arrived in 2020 and was nominated for the Best Country Album at the Grammys.

Clark's widely acclaimed, self-titled album made headway in 2023 and helped her rack up six nominations at the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards, including Best Americana Album, Best Americana Performance ('Dear Insecurity' feat. Brandi Carlile), Best Country Song ('Buried') and more.

A 17x Grammy-nominee, CMA Award-winner and Tony-nominee, Clark and frequent collaborator, Shane McAnally, also joined forced to create their hit musical comedy, Shucked, which made its Broadway debut in early 2023.

Credited for writing the music and lyrics for the production, Clark and McAnally earned nine nominations at the 2023 Tony Awards, including for Best Original Score.
