Ever since Alex Warren emerged as one of the (many) surprise guests during Jelly Roll's titanic Stagecoach 2025 set to debut their new collaboration, ‘Bloodline’, fans have been clamouring for the ‘Ordinary’ hitmaker to reveal when it is dropping.

In a new interview with Ricki Sanchez from 107.5 The River, the ever-affable Warren has unveiled the release date for ‘Bloodline’ - even though it seems he wasn't really meant to.

When Sanchez asks if he could tell her when the viral song is coming out, Alex Warren immediately responds, “May 23rd”, before laughing and looking in the direction of his team.

As Sanchez expresses her excitement, Warren confirms, “No one knows it yet...I'll post about it in a few days, but no, no one knows it. You can say it, I don't care”.

The California prodigy goes on to reflect on the hype and speculation that often surrounds release dates, “I don't get why people are so crazy about that, it's a release date, I'm not leaking...actually, I would leak the song too. I would do that, I would do that”.

Alex Warren concludes, “Who cares? It's a release date”. Although Warren might not get all the excitement, we're certainly glad to know we won't have to wait too long to hear the full version of the uptempo, folk-infused link-up with Jelly Roll.

Warren, who shot into the spotlight earlier this year with ‘Ordinary’, shared a clip of him and Jelly Roll singing along to ‘Bloodline’ a few days ago. The track finds the duo offering words of encouragement to listeners, “Oh, my brother / You don't have to follow in your bloodline / Oh, we got each other / And if you got tomorrow, then you still got time / To break the chain that left you scarred / From whеre you came isn't who you are / Oh, my brothеr / You don't have to follow in your bloodline”.

More recently, Warren has tipped his cap to the Avicii-inspired folk-house elements that permeate ‘Bloodline’, sharing, “I'm out here trying to make Avicii proud with this one”.

Given ‘Bloodline’s uplifting message, infectious instrumental and the soaring hook, we think it's safe to say Alex Warren is successfully emulating the Swedish EDM trailblazer.

‘Bloodline’ is expected to feature alongside ‘Ordinary’ on Alex Warren's eagerly anticipated new studio album. Amusingly, he teases a release date for this project during his conversation with Ricki Sanchez, too, but we'll have to wait for the full interview to drop before we get to find out whether he has leaked this as well. Either way, it looks like we're about to get a stellar soundtrack for the summer from Warren.
