Are Ella Langley and Tucker Wetmore Really Dating, or Just Working on New Music Together?

Despite many of us taking some time to slow down and enjoy a break over the Christmas period, the country music rumour-mill has once again been spinning out of control.

A new wave of dating speculation has been crashing onto our Instagram and TikTok feeds, with many fans now convinced that Ella Langley and Tucker Wetmore are dating.

These rumours originated when each artist shared separate Instagram Stories from the idyllic shores of St. Barthélemy in the British Virgin Islands last week. Suspicions that the two country hitmakers were on vacation together was seemingly confirmed when they were photographed hugging at the famous Soggy Dollar Bar.

Wetmore then shared a clip of him shaving in the middle of a clear blue ocean, before liking a comment that read, “Making that handsome face nice [and] smooth for beautiful EL”.

If Langley and Wetmore are indeed romantically involved, it would serve as yet another dizzying twist in what's been a rollercoaster ride of country music dating gossip in 2025.

First, we had the rumours that Langley and her ‘you look like you love me’ collaborator, Riley Green, were dating, before Green was spotted driving around with Megan Moroney, leaving fans to assume they were the ones who were dating. Then, it all got a little bit messy, and there were various allegations flying around that there was some kind of secret love triangle between them. Since then, Green made the high-profile move of taking influencer Bryana Ferringer, who he'd been spotted with in previous weeks, as his date to the 2025 CMA Awards.

Ferringer is Wetmore's ex, having even appeared in one of his first music videos for ‘Wind Up Missin’ You’ back in March 2024. He followed up Ferringer's public appearance with Green by dropping the accusatory ’Proving Me Right’, which referenced an ex who had supposedly left him to find another “guy with a song”.

And now, Langley and Wetmore appear to be on vacation together. It's worth pointing out that a lot of these dating rumours seem to stem from this paradisal island, St. Barth, with the original Moroney and Green speculation starting from their holiday there. Perhaps it's becoming country music's unofficial version of Love Island?

It definitely adds a layer of intrigue to see that Langley and Wetmore are hanging out, especially following the rumours involving Langley and Green and then Green and Ferringer. Could Langley and Wetmore be working on a Riley Green diss track?

Jokes apart, it's worth highlighting that fellow country singer-songwriter, Gary Allan, was also at the Soggy Dollar Bar. Allan has toured with Langley before, and it's very possible that Allan, Langley and Wetmore are simply on a sun-soaked writers’ retreat.

We'd love it if Langley and Wetmore are teaming up for a collaboration, with Langley's penchant for classic country and Wetmore's ear for a killer hook sure to send sparks flying.

At the end of the day, nobody knows whether these vacation snaps are simply a couple of friends hanging out, the beginning of a blossoming romance or evidence of a forthcoming song. But as 2025 comes to a close, the swathes of rumours that now engulf Langley and Wetmore epitomise a year of country music that has been defined by romantic speculation and dating gossip. Although, as always, we'd rather the focus was on the music, this is simply a testament to the fact that the likes of Langley, Wetmore, Green and Moroney have transcended genre-boundaries, and are now ‘music stars’ and ‘celebrities’ that have struck a chord with mainstream listeners, as well as core country aficionados.
