After a mysterious countdown appeared on Zac Brown Band's official website last week, fans initially speculated that the ’Colder Weather’ hitmakers might be gearing up to unveil their brand new album. But then, earlier today (Monday, July 14th), the nine-piece announced their seventh studio record, Love & Fear. The countdown is still appearing on their website, with the deadline set for 11am UK time tomorrow.

As a result, we suspect the countdown is for Zac Brown Band's long-teased Sphere residency in Las Vegas, which Zac alluded to during his chat with Theo Von last year.

A new video from the official Sphere Las Vegas Instagram page has seemingly confirmed this exciting news, with the clip showing the now-iconic venue displaying graphics of ice breaking, before revealing two angelic figures. Then, the camera zooms out to portray the classic Zac Brown Band logo - a skeleton donning Zac's hat.

At the start of the clip, you can hear a static-interrupted snippet of Zac Brown Band's most popular song to date, ‘Chicken Fried’, along with brief soundbites from other ZBB hits.

The Sphere account has also accompanied the video with a ‘door’ emoji, and there's a flaming door motif in the visuals, too. When you click onto Zac Brown Band's website, you'll see that same flaming door, perhaps hinting at a theme for the residency.

What's more, the two figures in the Sphere video are seemingly inspired by the mystical beings on the striking cover art for Zac Brown Band's newly unveiled Love & Fear album.

We'll know for certain tomorrow at 11am UK time (5am Nashville time), but we think these are some pretty strong clues that Zac Brown Band will be following in the footsteps of their 2024 tour-mate, Kenny Chesney, who became the first country artist to headline Las Vegas’ immersive venue throughout the summer. Excitingly, the No Shoes Nation icon has confirmed he'll be returning to Sphere Las Vegas in 2026.

This is undoubtedly fantastic news for any keen fans of both Zac Brown Band and Kenny Chesney (such as this writer), with supporters of the former able to look forward to a brand new single, ‘Let It Run‘, with Snoop Dogg arriving this Friday, July 18th.
