Bailey Zimmerman and Luke Combs’ ‘Backup Plan’ is showing no signs of slipping down the leaderboard, with the high-octane anthem retaining its place at No. 1 on the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart during the frame dated (July 18th - 24th).
The much-loved track, which appears on Zimmmerman's keenly awaited sophomore album, Different Night Same Rodeo, amasses 1.44 million impressions this week.
It's a galvanising, electric-guitar-powered earworm that finds Zimmerman and Combs trading verses as they encourage listeners to keep chasing down their dreams, no matter what.
It does just enough to hold off stiff competition from Tucker Wetmore's ‘3,2,1’, which has to settle for second position with 1.21 million impressions. Completing the Top Five is Jelly Roll's ‘Heart of Stone’, Riley Green's ‘Worst Way’ and Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton's ‘A Song To Sing’ at No. 3, 4 and 5 respectively.
The biggest mover this week is Blake Shelton's ‘Stay Country Or Die Trying’, which tallies an impressive 331,482 impressions - a 435% increase - to land at a new peak of No. 32.
There are just a couple of new entries on the chart this week from The Marcus King Band's ‘Here Today’ and Thomas Rhett's ‘Dance With You’ at No. 47 and 48 respectively.
