Ten months after releasing his momentous and widely acclaimed SABLE, fABLE record, Bon Iver is returning once again with his first ever non-studio album, VOLUMES: ONE (SELECTIONS FROM MUSIC CONCERTS 2019-2023 BON IVER 6 PIECE BAND.

Introducing the project is ’HEAVENLY FATHER’, recorded during Bon Iver's iconic Milan concert in November 2022. A longstanding fan-favourite that was originally released as part of the soundtrack for Zach Braff's 2014 film, Wish I Was Here, ‘HEAVENLY FATHER’ finally comes back to streaming platforms in this fascinating live form.

Speaking ahead of the unveiling, Bon Iver's Justin Vernon explains the reasoning behind putting together this unique body of work, “This particular set of 10 songs is like, ‘Here, if you’ve never heard Bon Iver, or you have and you didn’t like it, this might be for you.’ This is what we became. This is really us at our best. This is it”.

Elsewhere on the project, fans will be able to enjoy stunning performances from across the planet, including Bon Iver's shows in the US, India, Italy, Australia and Canada.

Bon Iver stopped touring in 2023 - even selling his live show equipment to ensure this was a permanent move - making VOLUMES: ONE an extremely precious collection.

Alongside ‘HEAVENLY FATHER’, VOLUMES: ONE features immensely innovative new takes on ‘MAN LIKE U’, ‘JELMORE’, ‘HEY, MA’ and much more, including a haunting cover of Mahalia Jackson's ’A SATISFIED MIND’. There is also a spellbinding rendition of ‘P.D.L.I.F’, one of Bon Iver's COVID-era gems, and the electrifying ‘33 “God”’.

Bon Iver's live performances have always felt more like art exhibitions rather than concerts, with Vernon and his collective delivering each song with the hyper-focussed intricacy and attention to detail they would bring to an album's recording process.

The vast majority of tracks on this project are taken from the genre-blurring maverick's 22, A Million and i,i records, two lustrous stand-outs in a truly stellar catalogue of albums. VOLUMES: ONE finds Vernon teaming up with his band, Andrew Fitzpatrick, Jenn Wasner ,Matthew McCaughan, Michael Lewis and Sean Carey for a plethora of enchanting performances, masterfully engineered by Xandy Whitesel. VOLUMES: ONE will be released in full on April 3rd, 2026 via Jagjaguwar.
