Brandon Lake has shared what appears to be the teaser trailer for his eagerly anticipated country and Contemporary Christian crossover project, featuring a host of massive names.

Lake has been hinting at a full-blown foray into the country space ever since he dropped his viral collaboration with Jelly Roll, ‘Hard Fought Hallelujah’, almost exactly a year ago in February 2025. Since then, he's linked up with Gabby Barrett for ‘As For My & My Home’ and, more recently, Cody Johnson for ’When a Cowboy Prays’.

In recent weeks, the ‘Gratitude’ singer-songwriter has been sharing some details about a star-studded writers’ retreat he hosted, featuring some of the biggest artists in country music. There have been hints and clues about who was part of these sessions, but now, with Lake's latest social media video, the picture is a little clearer.

The clip shows Lake working with Lainey Wilson, Thomas Rhett, HARDY, Dan + Shay, Bailey Zimmerman and Russell Dickerson, with more potentially included that are still being kept under wraps. We know Lake penned a track with Lainey, ‘The Jesus I Know’, because he shared an acoustic rendition of that soulful ode in November 2025.

It seems he had some leading country songsmiths involved too, such as Luke Laird and Emily Weisband, with both of these Nashville titans being credited on ‘The Jesus I Know’.

In the caption to his new clip, Lake explains why he has decided to venture into the country arena with what looks to be a full album, “God put a dream in my heart to start loving on and encouraging those leading in the country music space, and shortly after He just started flinging wide the doors. So the other week my team and I had the honor of hosting over 25 of the best Country Music artists and songwriters along with some of my closest friends in the faith based music space”.

He then reveals that they ended the retreat with almost 50 songs, “I knew we’d get something special but I never would’ve thought we’d get over 43+ songs in 5 days...IDK what this next chapter looks like BUT I know it’s gonna be special cause it was birthed from genuine love and friendship. Praying God continues to allow me to love this community that’s blessed me so much and if He’s willing allow me to contribute a lil something of my own. Thank you to everyone who poured out your heart and poured into me over those special 5 days”. The South Carolina native concludes with a heartfelt sign-off, “God bless Country & Christian Music!”

Over the past decade or so, Lake has established himself as one of the leading voices in the Contemporary Christian Music space, being a former member of hugely influential groups within this genre, such as Bethel Music and Maverick City Music, before making a name for himself through his stirring, rock-infused solo material.

It's clear from his caption that there aren't yet any concrete plans in place regarding the country-leaning material he's been cooking up, but based on the songs he's been releasing so far in this vein, we can't wait to hear it. We'd lvoe to see a project in the mould of Chris Tomlin's 2020 Chris Tomlin & Friends record, which featured Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett, Lady A and more. Faith has always had a key role in country music, and we have no doubt that a project from Lake that places belief at its heart will strike a chord with the genre's loyal fanbase.
