Charley Crockett has seemingly reignited his beef with Gavin Adcock, with the ‘$10 Cowboy’ singer-songwriter taking to Instagram to share what appears to be a subliminal shot.

Crockett has shared a picture of him smiling, with the blunt caption, “That ain't following Jesus. That's selling him”. It comes a matter of weeks after Adcock released his latest single, ‘Perfect Man’, which finds him reflecting on his various shortcomings and mistakes, before praising Jesus as the only “perfect man” in history.

Another of Adcock's adversaries, Benjamin Tod, has been critical of the ‘Last One To Know’ hitmaker's public portrayal of his faith, with Tod declaring, “That cross on your hand ain't gonna save you from selling your soul to the Devil to get where you are. You don't represent Christians and you do not represent country music”.

In a later comment amidst their heated back-and-forth, Tod claimed Adcock had disrespected “the name of Jesus”, along with “Homeless people” and “Recovering addicts”. Adcock responded, “People like you are the reason that Jesus shakes his head. Do you think he wanted us here tearing each other down? I don't think so”.

As a result, many fans have interpreted Crockett's new post as a thinly veiled dig at Adcock, after the latter's exchange with Tod and his new single about Jesus, ‘Perfect Man’.

Their beef started when Crockett posted a diatribe that questioned the state of modern country, and in doing so, criticised the fact that the genre's No. 1 star - Morgan Wallen - revealed in an interview with Theo Von that he doesn't listen to much country.

Crockett mused, “Hey country folks. @beyonce ain’t the source of your discontent. It was 25 years of bro country. #1 country artist on earth listen’s to nothing but rap. Openly says he doesn’t really know any country music. Gotta respect his honesty”.

He went on, “The machine points to a black woman who’s making a statement about marginalized people being removed from the conversation altogether, and somehow we all act like the entire pop industry didn’t just ambush roots music. These “country boys” been *singing* over trap beats for years. So what’s different now? Authenticity. Many of those business folks called me early on. They had whole albums pre written and recorded ready to just plug me in. I have receipts”.

Adcock rushed to Wallen's defence, clapping back, “Somebody needs to tell the “act” that has let out (the cover) of James town ferry 6 times he should just work on letting out quality original music...I got more cowshit under my pinky then you have seen your whole fuckin life...Hank sr called and asked about the cosplay cowboy”.

That was back in August, and they've been sending shots at one another in subsequent weeks. Then, since Tod launched a lengthy attack on Adcock in November, Crockett has been penning a number of Instagram posts seemingly aimed at Adcock.

In later November, for instance, Crockett appeared to mock Adcock's video of him proudly showing off a picture of Merle Haggard on his wall, “If you’re gonna hang a portrait of your favorite outlaw on the wall you better be damn sure you know why. He’s liable to jump outta that picture and give you what you got coming”.

It remains to be seen how much further this feud between Crockett, Adcock and Tod will develop, but by the looks of it, neither party is in a mood to stand down any time soon.
