Chris Stapleton Stars in Hilarious Saturday Night Live ‘Get That Boy Back’ Skit with Ryan Gosling, Chloe Troast and More

As well as performing ‘White Horse’ and ’Mountains Of My Mind’, Chris Stapleton has starred in a hilarious Saturday Night Live skit alongside Ryan Gosling, Chloe Troast and more.

The Get That Boy Back sketch revolves around three women, Ego Nwodim, Chloe Fineman, Chloe Troast, who sing to the camera about punishing their exes for treating them badly while they were together. Troast, however, takes things a tad too far, as she begins breaking into the home of her ex - played by Chris Stapleton - and playing a series of mind games with Stapleton and his poor mother.

The ‘Tennessee Whiskey’ hitmaker's mom, portrayed by Heidi Gardner, moves in with him after Troast gets inside her head, before Troast's CIA-agent brother - Ryan Gosling - dials things up another notch and removes all traces of Stapleton's US citizenship.

The vindictive lover even wears a disguise and works her way back into Chris Stapleton's life, before perplexing the bearded singer-songwriter by deciding to exclusively speak Romanian.

The laugh-out-loud moment arrives at the end of the video, when Chris Stapleton reveals that the reason they broke up was because Troast thought he was cheating on her with another woman, when, in reality, he was just texting his sister.

This renders Troast's elaborate schemes entirely unnecessary, making the extremes she went to all the more amusing. Although his fans will hope the backwards-baseball-cap-wearing, bro-country version of Stapleton in the SNL skit doesn't make a return as far as his music's concerned, we hope this isn't his last foray into comedy.
