After billboards were spotted in recent weeks hinting at an imminent release for the keenly anticipated new Yellowstone spin-off, Dutton Ranch, we now - at long last - have a premiere date. What's more, we've been treated to the first official teaser trailer.
Dutton Ranch, the latest Yellowstone project from creator Taylor Sheridan, will premiere on Friday, May 15th 2026. This seemingly deviates from Sheridan's preferred approach of dropping new episodes every Sunday, unless the first instalment is a one-off.
It might sound greedy to be counting down the days until we get to witness Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler continue their tumultuous love story on Dutton Ranch, given the fact that there are currently not one but two Yellowstone spin-offs airing. At the moment, we're deep in Marshals, following Kayce Dutton, and The Madison.
But it's no secret that Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) were two fan-favourite characters from the original Yellowstone story. At the conclusion of the main series, they were moving in together in Montana, after getting married in a dramatic ceremony.
In the explosive teaser trailer, which has been shared across the official Yellowstone and Dutton Ranch socials, we get a suggestion of what to expect from the full series - and it's safe to say Beth and Rip are not enjoying a quiet, peaceful retirement.
We get violent shots of burials, shots, brawls and flames, as well as clips of two new characters, Annette Bening (who plays Beulah Jackson) and Ed Harris (Everett McKinney).
It ensures the excitement is through the roof ahead of May 15th, with Dutton Ranch unquestionably the Yellowstone spin-off we've been looking forward to the most this year.
After Marshals, which is adopting a more traditional, long-running TV format rather than the concise, poetic drama of Yellowstone, 1883 and 1923, fans will be reassured to see that Dutton Ranch seems to follow a more typical Yellowstone blueprint.
