In honour of her forthcoming album, Dandelion, Ella Langley is covering up an old tattoo she's no longer fond of with some new ink. Via Instagram, the ‘you look like you love me’ hitmaker has share pictures of her dandelion- and rose-inspired artwork.
Langley offered fans updates throughout the process, with the Alabama native declaring, “No more tequila shot (at least on my arm)”, implying she still has a tequila tattoo elsewhere.
Alongside photos of the new ink - which was designed by A. J. Lingerfeldt at Nashville's Duel in the Sun tattoo parlour - Langley shares that she has also opted for a “lil dandelion”.
She goes on to reflect that it was “so cool to watch [the tequila tattoo] disappear”, as Lingerfeldt covered it up with an ornate, intricately detailed couple of roses. Slotted in neatly beneath these flowers is a small, unassuming image of a dandelion.
Amusingly, Langley then uploaded a clip of her responding to a Facebook troll, named Steve, who apparently criticised her decision to get more tattoos, joking, “I will get one on my eyeballs, Steve. I will get one on my eyeballs. Don't even play with me”.
The inclusion of the dandelion design on her new tattoo feels apt as Langley gears up for her eagerly awaited new album of the same name, which arrives on April 10th, 2026.
The dandelion is intended to represent her evolution, with the ‘nicotine’ singer-songwriter sharing in tandem with the album announcement, “Dandelions are masters of survival, thriving in even the harshest environments. Often dismissed as a common weed, this unassuming plant carries a deeper symbolism of hope, healing and resilience. This next record to me has so much growth in it”.
The anticipation is through-the-roof ahead of the project, particularly after Langley secured an historic No. 1 on the prestigious all-genre Billboard Hot 100, before following that up with another stellar single, ‘Be Her’, which dropped last week.
