Ella Langley was crowned Best New Country Artist at the prestigious 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles, California last night (Thursday, March 26th), with the ‘Choosin’ Texas’ hitmaker delivering a heartfelt speech during the ceremony.

The ‘you look like you love me’ singer-songwriter touchingly began by joking about how surreal it felt rubbing shoulders with some of her musical idols, “I was sitting in between Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus for a lot of that tonight. So, I’m a little lost for words!”

The Alabama native went on, “You know, the thing we’re always trying to do is just get in there and write a good song. So, to see what that can do is just wild. Thank you, Jesus, for putting this passion on my heart. Thank you to my team. I would not be the artist I am up here today if it weren’t for them. They help me make these crazy dreams come true. Thank you to my family for not yelling at me too loud when I practice everything in my room for too long. This is just a dream come true”, concluding on a note of gratitude towards the awards show, “Thank you, iHeart”.

It's a well-deserved victory, with Langley cementing herself as one of the biggest artists in the modern country landscape. The ‘nicotine’ crooner currently has the most popular song in the US, with ‘Choosin’ Texas’ securing a fourth week at No. 1.

It ensures the momentum remains through-the-roof as Langley gears up to release her eagerly anticipated new album, Dandelion. The project arrives on April 10th, 2026.

As well as ‘Choosin’ Texas’, the record features the uptempo earworm ’Be Her’, the hazy, ethereal title-track and the latest single, the euphoric, triumphant, ‘Loving Life Again’.
