Ella Langley is having the kind of career trajectory most artists can only dream of. And it just got better: her song, ‘Be Her’, is now number one on the Mediabase Country Radio Singles Chart.

Although already number one for three weeks on the Billboard Country Radio Charts, the Mediabase Country Radio Singles Chart uses slightly different criteria, making this another milestone for Langley.

With ‘Choosin’ Texas’ breaking records across multiple charts, including sitting for 10 weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 all genre chart, the Alabama native became the first woman in country music to block herself from the top spot, with ‘Be Her’ coming in at number 2 on May 16th 2026.

Now, with Taylor Swift re-entering the chat with her Toy Story 5 track, ‘I Knew It I Knew You’, Langley’s top spot has been claimed by Swift across the majority of the leading Billboard charts. On the Hot Country Chart, that hasn't stopped Ella from sitting proudly at number two with ‘Choosin’ Texas’, number three with ‘Be Her’ and number four with her Morgan Wallen duet, ‘I Can’t Love You Anymore’.

Lets also not forget that her trophy cabinet must be bursting at the seams, with 16 collective wins from the ACM, AMA, CMT, CMA and iHeartRadio awards to date. Now that’s pretty impressive.

“Women are about to take over, I’m telling you that right now”

The ‘weren’t for the wind’ hitmaker made this statement to Billboard earlier this year, and she’s right. Alongside Swift and Stella Lefty, Langley sits amongst an all female top five on the Billboard Hot Country Songs (save for her duet with Morgan Wallen).

Paving the way for her sisters in the scene, Langley's success is felt by female musicians everywhere. She joins household names like Dolly Parton, recognised far and wide both in and outside the genre. Her 'Choosin' Texas' lyrics were even referenced in the British commentary of the England v Japan World Cup game. It doesn't get much more well-known than that.

Ella Langley is dominating country music at the minute, her candor and vulnerability online increasing her likability factor tenfold. She’s the girl next door but also the award winning powerhouse at the top of the charts. And that’s really cool.
