During a new conversation with Holler ahead of her performance at C2C Festival and C2C Berlin 2026, Emily Ann Roberts has paid tribute to her close friend Ella Langley.

The duo went viral late last year when they shared a wholesome video of Roberts teaching Langley how to can tomatoes, as part of the former's Yeehaw Meemaw content series. Roberts has been making waves on TikTok alongside her husband, Chris Sasser, via their wildly popular Sasser House page, with the ’Jack and Jill Daniel's’ singer-songwriter teaching followers how to take part in hobbies that are typically associated with older generations and “meemaws”, such as crocheting.

As a result of the heartwarming video, and Roberts’ stellar cover of Langley's viral hit ‘Choosin’ Texas’, fans are now clamouring for the neo-traditional artists to link up on a track.

While chatting to Holler, Roberts reveals that, although they haven't recorded anything just yet, the duo have raised the prospect of collaborating, “Well, Ella and I have actually talked about that, and we've sent songs to each other. We have definitely talked about doing something together. I cannot say there's anything in the works, because there is not, but it's something I think we would both love to do”.

The ‘Come Home to You’ hitmaker goes on to emphasise her admiration and appreciation for Langley, “She is so sweet and such a sweet friend to me. And we had so much fun that day [canning tomatoes], getting to just do normal stuff, you know?”

Roberts touchingly concludes, “We also talked about work, of course, and about our careers. It's good to have friends that are in the same field that you're in, that you're able to bounce ideas off of and learn from. She is somebody I definitely look up to in business, but also in real life. She's just an incredible girl. We love singing and we love country music, and I'm sure there will be an opportunity in the future for us to get to do something together - at least I hope so!”

We're keeping our fingers crossed this potential duet comes to fruition in the next few months - or, if not, we'd happily take another endearing tomato-canning video. Roberts continues to build a unique brand that celebrates a slower, old-school and more peaceful way of life via socials, while cementing her status as one of the most exciting new voices in country music through her recent releases.

With a plethora of shows on the books for 2026 - including performances overseas at C2C Festival and C2C Berlin - we can't wait to see what's next for the country up-and-comer.
