We're doing our best not to get ahead of ourselves, but with Ella Langley sharing some new clips from the studio, we can't help but get incredibly excited at the prospect of Album No. 2 from the ‘you look like you love me’ singer-songwriter.
In a new Instagram carousel, Langley has interspersed some candid photos from recent weeks with a few tantalising snippets of her seemingly recording new music in the studio.
In one clip, for instance, the Alabama native can be seen singing and playing the guitar alongside Mississippi musical maestro, Charlie Worsham. She teases us with a brief portion of what appears to be an unreleased track, and if this is set for the new album, it's great to see Worsham involved, as his guitar-playing is second to none.
Later in the carousel, Langley serenades followers with a piano-driven rendition of a worship song. It's a powerful rendition that shows off Langley's enchanting vocals, leaving many calling for a full-blown Gospel album from the ‘weren't for the wind’ hitmaker.
And then there's another clue that Langley is recording new music, with the three-time 2025 CMA Award-winner uploading a fleeting clip from behind the studio soundboard.
With the momentum sky-high behind Langley at the moment, following her record-breaking haul from the CMAs earlier in November, this next project is shaping up to be a truly momentous release in the country music landscape. There's no drop date yet, but with a couple of lead singles already out in the world, the witty ‘Never Met Anyone Like You’ with HARDY and the infectious ‘Choosin’ Texas’, it feels like the rollout for Langley's sophomore studio album is picking up pace...
