It's safe to say Riley Green is keeping his loyal fanbase well-fed, with the ‘Georgia Time’ singer-songwriter confirming to Holler that he's already working on a brand new album.

Riley dropped his much-loved seven-song Way Out Here EP on April 12th, featuring stand-outs such as ’Worst Way’, ‘Jesus Saves’ and his current single, ’Damn Good Day to Leave’, a mere six months after his sprawling sophomore album, Ain't My Last Rodeo.

Although many artists would take the opportunity to enjoy a well-deserved rest from recording, and perhaps tour around those two projects for the next couple of years, Riley isn't letting up. In a new interview with Holler, the Alabama hitmaker revealed he's currently recording a new album, which is set to arrive later this year.

Riley confirmed, “We're recording the next album, looking at a potential Fall release. There's a lot of new music coming this year. It's a cool time to be out on the road and try some of these new songs. The music comes first. If I write a song I'm excited about or that fans are excited about, I'm gonna record it and try to get it out as soon as I can”.

Excitingly, judging from these comments, it seems we can look forward to hearing some unreleased teasers and previews during Riley Green's 2024 Ain't My Last Rodeo tour.

Riley Green has made a habit of sharing demos and acoustic snippets of new tracks before deciding whether to cut them or not. A prime example was ‘Good Morning From Mexico’, which he first posted in January 2022. When the sun-soaked offering wasn't on the Ain't My Last Rodeo tracklist, fans presumed it had been cast aside onto Riley Green's fast-growing pile of unreleased songs, and that it would never see the light of day. Fast-forward to the release of Way Out Here, though, and ‘Good Morning From Mexico’ was finally given its chance to shine, as were other previously teased tracks such as ’Jesus Saves’ and ’Pick A Place’.

As a result, fans will be wondering whether Riley will include any older unreleased tracks on his forthcoming record, with listeners still regularly calling for the likes of ‘Til You Gave One’, ‘Taillights’ and ‘Keep Comin‘ Around’ to be made available to stream.

Riley Green has offered a glimmer of hope that these might still be given an official release, “We've been in the studio and cut about four songs, so we've got a lot of room on the album for what's next. But I think once we start getting close to six, seven or eight songs, and we look at what the album's missing and what those pieces are, I think that's when we'll go back through the catalogue and find those songs that raised their hands through me playing them on socials for fans”.

With Riley quickly establishing himself as one of the most prolific artists in modern country music, we'll be keeping an eye out for any unreleased demos and teasers he shares across socials in the coming weeks, as he readies his third studio album.
