Finn Little, who plays Carter in Yellowstone and Dutton Ranch, has taken to Instagram to share a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at a key scene from Season One of the latter.
Little has posted a photo of him, Cole Hauster (Rip Wheeler), the director and some of the backstage crew helping to get the shot set up during the explosive party scene in Episode 7.
As Rip and Beth (Kelly Reilly) charm the guests at the 10 Petal ranch party, hosted by the ranch's matriarch, Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening), Carter grows frustrated at the fact that his love interest, Oreana (Natalie Alyn Lind) is with another man.
He subsequently decides to get drunk, with Carter then sneaking off into Beaulah's main family house at 10 Petal, before bringing out her prized longhorn bull-head.

As the crowd stands aghast at Carter and Rip attempts to diffuse the situation, he then drops and breaks the valuable bull-head. Although it's not 100% clear whether the incident is the direct cause, Beulah has a heart-attack immediately after, with the guests left to blame Carter's drunken behaviour for the dramatic conclusion to the party.
The photo, which Little has shared via his personal Instagram account, captures some of the arranging that had to go on as they set up this crucial, hot-headed moment.
With Dutton Ranch Season 2 due to begin filming in early 2027, we can't wait to see how Beth and Rip will manage to save Carter, with the grand finale ending with the young ranch-hand being kidnapped by Mariano's cartell and taken over the Mexico border.
