Florida Georgia Line has taken to socials to announce their appearance as headliners for Tortuga 2027.
The announcement video featured FGL's Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley loading up into their old Chevy truck, ready to embark on their comeback festival tour.
"Where should we start?" Kelley asks, as Hubbard responds "Florida?" and the two quip, "Of course" and "Sounds about right." Under the video, the duo captioned "LFG, we are headed home!"
The announcement comes just ahead of Tortuga's full lineup drop, with the festival's other headliners to be revealed on Thursday, just one day after the FGL announcement at the time of writing.
FGL's appearance at the wildly popular beach-country influenced festival confirms the hopeful suspicions of Florida-based fans, and many tracking the various festival announcements, including us over at Holler.
Back in September, upon the festival tour announcement, any clues as to where the iconic country duo may be playing in 2027 came from a series of guessing the lettering behind blurred out lines in their cryptic 2027 Festival tour date post. Then, the guess for Tortuga came from a short, blurred line among the rest of the to be announced tour dates, with the letter 'U' seemingly popping out.
For Kelley, a headlining night at Tortuga also means the Floridian half of the duo will have the opportunity to play in front of fans with his same 'Sunshine state' roots. Though we're not sure if Georgia native Tyler Hubbard will experience the same home state sentiment, there is room to predict that confirmation of the recently reunited duo's future endeavors may follow the Tortuga announcement.
Regardless, we're betting on an electric performance from the two, with the Florida festival being the perfect breeding ground for a regular country-beach party.
