Hailey Whitters treated her most loyal fans to an exclusive, intimate album launch party, presented by Holler, at Nashville's Skinny Dennis last night (Wednesday, June 4th).

With a tempting range of Corn Queen merchandise, a table of ‘Casseroles’-inspired culinary delights and a bandana personalisation booth, the party served as an homage to Whitters’ ascent, as she prepares to release her fourth studio album tonight.

Holler's Editor-in-Chief, Ross Jones, began by paying tribute to Whitters - who won Holler's Album of the Year accolade in 2022 for Raised - with Jones recalling, “I first met Hailey at C2C 2022, and she had come from Dublin on the ferry, lost all her gear, and then proceeded to play an absolute killer set in front of 18,000 people”.

Jones went on to warmly gush, “Honestly, from that point on, I was hooked. Since then, she is an ACM winner, she is a Grammy nominee, she is a Holler Album of the Year winner for Raised, and that brings her here to her fourth album, Corn Queen. There's not much more I can say about Hailey, other than this album is an evolution of her as a songwriter and as a person, and it is wonderful to see how she has progressed since that fateful ferry from Dublin in 2022 - and it's a pleasure to have you all here. The album is incredible, this set is going to be something special. It is my honour and privilege to welcome Hailey Whitters!”

In-between galvanising renditions of forthcoming tracks from the project, such as the wonderfully playful ’Shotgun Wedding Baby’, Hailey Whitters took some time to address fans and candidly explain the creative impetus behind her brand new record.

Whitters wistfully reflected, “Well, as corny as it sounds, corn is literally the backdrop in my entire life. My mom and dad brought me home from the hospital to a baby blue single-wide trailer, in the middle of a corn field. My dad worked night shifts for the corn plant in town. So it may just be this simple, humble crop, but it truly is the lifeblood of where I come from. This record is equal parts labour and love”.

Whitters expanded, “Behind the scenes, when we were making this record, there was a lot falling apart for me, both personally and professionally. But they say that a true queen holds her head high, even when her crown is slipping, and so that's what I did”.

Attendees at the celebratory, invite-only event were also serenaded by stellar performances of early stand-outs from Corn Queen, such as ‘Prodigal Daughter’ and ‘Casseroles’.

The rip-roaring set ensures the anticipation is sky-high ahead of the arrival of Hailey Whitters’ keenly awaited Raised follow-up, Corn Queen, with the project marking the ‘Everything She Ain't’ singer-songwriter's first full-length body of work since 2022.

Hailey Whitters’ new album, Corn Queen, is out on Friday, June 6th 2025.
