HARDY has taken to socials today (Monday, June 16th) to announce he has cancelled the European leg of his JIM BOB World Tour, which was initially due to start later this week.
The country-rock trailblazer has apologised to fans, and has underlined that he and his team have not made this decision lightly, and that he will make the trip over as soon as he can.
In his official statement, HARDY has explained, “I have decided to cancel the European leg of the JIM BOB TOUR. It wasn't an easy decision but one I had to make for my band, crew and my family. Please know that I love you all and I will be back as soon as I can. ❤️ Refunds will automatically be issued by your point of purchase”.
The ‘TRUCK BED’ hitmaker was slated to perform at a series of festivals across Europe, before embarking on a highly anticipated run of shows through the UK and Ireland, including dates in Birmingham, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin.
It's undoubtedly a great shame that HARDY would be making his debut trip across The Pond this month, with this marking the second time fans have had to face a last-minute cancellation. HARDY was previously booked to perform a London show with Morgan Wallen in 2020, with this ultimately falling through due to COVID-19.
HARDY has provided no further explanation as to why he's cancelled his keenly awaited European shows just a matter of days before he was set to kick off this leg in Denmark.
Either way, we're keeping our fingers crossed HARDY rebooks another slew of shows in the UK and Europe before too long, with the ‘wait in the truck’ singer-songwriter's genre-blurring versatility sure to resonate with listeners on this side of The Atlantic.
