Henry Webb-Jenkins is premiering his new single, ‘Fun Around Here’, exclusively on Holler, with the British singer-songwriter offering fans a preview of his 2026 HANK EP.
The infectious, uptempo offering captures Webb-Jenkins’ penchant for unabashedly old-school country compositions. ‘Fun Around Here’ finds the fast-emerging artist crooning wistfully across a honky-tonkin’ instrumental about a lost love.

But don't confuse Webb-Jenkins’ sound for the mainstream neo-traditional textures of artists like Zach Top and Jake Worthington, because there's an unmistakably alternative-country and Americana-adjacent edge that underpins ‘Fun Around Here’.
This stems from Webb-Jenkins’ eclectic musical upbringing, as he explains to Holler, “Growing up I was a massive fan of British rock and pop music like The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and The Kinks. I think now my main influence for my music is country rock from the 70s such as The Flying Burrito Brothers, New Riders Of The Purple Sage and The Eagles. I’m also very influenced by a lot of the country that came out in the 90s such as Dwight Yoakam, Clint Black and Alan Jackson. The guitar and pedal steel playing and musicianship on that stuff is amazing”.
Webb-Jenkins goes on to highlight how fans’ reactions during his live performances helped to hurry along the release of ‘Fun Around Here’, “It’s gone down really well at recent shows, I think it introduces another side to my songwriting that I’ve been exploring more lately. I wanted to put something out that people can dance and drink beer to, and I thought it was a good tune to start with”.
‘Fun Around Here’ marks a welcome return to regular releases from the UK prodigy, with Webb-Jenkins’ last track arriving in January 2024. The new single serves as the first taste of Webb-Jenkins’ next era, ensuring the excitement is high ahead of his sophomore EP HANK, which was recorded in North London and is set to drop in July.
“For a long time I didn’t have the desire to do any of my own music”, Webb-Jenkins reflects, “I fell slightly out of love with it and was lacking a lot of inspiration. My thought now is if I don’t write songs and put my own music out, there will be a piece of me that’s very much missing. I’m really excited to be releasing again!”
As for the dominant sub-genre or style fans can expect from HANK, Webb-Jenkins underlines that he never heads into a writing session planning to create a “Country” song or an “Americana” song. Rather, the focus is on making the best song possible.
The ‘I'm Coming Home’ singer-songwriter muses, “I’d like to give myself space to explore all of those sub genres as I love them all. I also try not to write a genre brief, I just listen to and love a lot of country music so that's usually what I come up with”.
Given how much we love ‘Fun Around Here’ - which officially drops on all platforms on Friday, April 10th - it's safe to say we can't wait to hear more from Webb-Jenkins this year.
