Sam Barber has treated his loyal fans to an early listen to his eagerly awaited new album, Broken View, with the ‘Indigo’ hitmaker making all tracks available via a secret website.
On his sambarberfiles.com site - which the Missouri native has been using to give his biggest fans extra behind-the-scenes content, exclusive merchandise and more - Barber has uploaded Broken View in its entirety. All you have to do to listen to every song is log in with your phone number, email address, first name and last name.
Crucially, Barber has made this version of Broken View streamable only in order, with the next offering unlocking once you've finished the previous song on the tracklist.
It's an old-school approach to enjoying albums that many commentators feel has been lost with today's streaming-first, playlist-oriented approach to music, with Barber forcing fans to dive into Broken View in the way he intended it to be listener to.
The project, which serves as the follow-up to his lauded 2024 debut album, Restless Mind, features the much-loved already-released singles, ‘Borrowed Time’ and ‘Just A Kid’.
Through this site, we're able to enjoy a host of stellar unreleased tracks on the project, too, such as the uptempo ‘Far Past’, which pivots around an anthemic, Springsteen-esque hook.
It's a clever way of both collecting data and ensuring the momentum remains high behind the new album, ahead of Broken View's official release date this Friday, April 3rd 2026.
