Could Garth Brooks be making a momentous return to Ireland next year? Based on a number of teasers and clues shared by Aikens Promotions and Downtown Country, fans are speculating that the ‘Friends in Low Places’ hitmaker may be touring Ireland in 2027.
Aikens Promotions, which promotes and books shows for an array of major venues in Ireland, has shared a clip of a ‘special delivery’ being transported to a series of stadiums. The video ends with an announcement date of Thursday, November 5th at 8am.
In the clip, you can see Cork, Galway, Kilkenny and Limerick referenced. Given the fact that Aikens Promotions has hosted summer concert series across GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) stadiums in these four locations in the past, it seems we can expect dates to be unveiled at Cork's SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Kilkenny's Nowlan Park, Limerick's TUS Gaelic Grounds and Galway's Pearse Stadium.
Garth is the main name being floated as the artist being teased here. One of the teaser posts is an Instagram collaboration that includes Downtown Country, which makes us think the headliner that's about to be unveiled is surely a country artist.
When Garth headlined Croke five blockbuster nights at Dublin's Croke Park in 2022, he underlined that he couldn't wait to return and expressed interest in an Ireland tour in the future.
What's more, some fans - such as top Instagram sleuth, The Concert Bible - are wondering if the ‘Special Delivery’ theme and phrasing in the teaser videos could be a reference to a 1997 Radio & Records article titled Garth Makes a Special Delivery.
That particular piece was about the Oklahoma legend's revered Sevens album. 2027 will mark the 30th anniversary of that seminal album, and given how much Garth loves a reissue, we wonder if he's plotting a special Sevens boxset next year. This ‘Special Delivery’ easter egg could be a hint that the tour will be linked to the re-release.
The ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’ chart-topper has already been booked as one of the 2027 Stagecoach Festival headliners, which makes us think he's planning to continue his 2026 run of shows into next year with another huge series of concerts.
Garth has always had a special affinity with Ireland, and there was a tangible sense of disappointment when the country titan performed a huge set in London at BST Hyde Park this summer, but didn't include any other shows across the UK and Ireland.
We'll know more on Thursday, but we're keeping our fingers crossed Garth is coming back to the Emerald Isle for the first time since his now-iconic five-night run in 2022.
