2025 was a banner year for Kaitlin Butts.

With the blockbuster rise of her viral "he ain't shit" rocker, 'You Ain't Gotta Die (To Be Dead To Me),' and a loaded schedule of shows all across the nation, the Oklahoma native, who's been steadily making a name for herself for more than a decade, had a front row seat to one of the genre's greatest modern day entertainers.

Announced as one of the revolving door of supporting acts on Lainey Wilson's Whirlwind World Tour, Butts teamed up with the highly decorated star throughout August of 2025, with stops in Phoenix, Denver, LA and a trio of shows in Canada.

"That was the most insane three weeks of my life and the hardest thing I've ever done," Butts shares with Holler.

No doubt one of the hottest tours to be on throughout last year, Wilson has made herself quite the hot commodity as her star has continued to rise, and even with her peak behind the curtain, Butts was left in awe of just how the Louisiana hitmaker operates.

"I thought that being behind the scenes would help me understand how she did it, but it only showed me how much more Lainey does and understand it even less," Butts notes with a laugh. "I would see her working out, then she'd be posting on Theo Von's podcast or in a field somewhere and I would just be wondering how and where she did that.

"She is everywhere all the time, and she takes really good care of herself. She's got a really good team and it was a great example to have," Butts adds.

After the run of shows, Butts took to socials to share some of her lessons learned from tour, as well as a heartfelt thank you to the star of the show, saying: "Lainey Wilson is a superstar. Period.

"She is everything you see on stage and more and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to wrap my head around how she does what she does while still taking the time to lift up so many people including myself... I have been taking notes and have learned so much from this tour but I mostly just feel so lucky to have been swept up and taken in on The Whirlwind Tour. I will be floating from this for a while. Love ya sister. Thank you."

Lucky for Butts, the show wasn't over for her after August, though, as Wilson revealed that the pair would be taking the Whirlwind World Tour down under this February.
