Kenny Chesney has famously leaned towards CD and digital releases throughout his career, with the vast majority of his albums not being readily available on vinyl.

Thankfully, though, with vinyl sales continuing to boom and collectors venturing into the country music scene, Chesney has been embracing this format in recent years.

After dropping his previous two albums, Here and Now and BORN, on vinyl, the ‘I Go Back’ hitmaker has now made one of his most beloved albums, The Road and The Radio, available on this format too. The project holds a special place in the hearts of Chesney's loyal No Shoes Nation fanbase, with The Road and The Radio spawning a plethora of hits, including ‘Summertime’, ‘Beer in Mexico’ and ‘Living in Fast Forward’.

Arriving in 2005, The Road and The Radio saw Kenny Chesney doubling down on his galvanising, joie-de-vivre-fuelled approach to music, following a hot streak of island-inspired, sun-soaked masterpieces, Be As You Are: Songs From An Old Blue Chair, When the Sun Goes Down and the seminal No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems.

With country staples that have stood the test of time - such as ‘Summertime’ - The Road and The Radio cemented the Knoxville native as one of the genre's leading figures.

Off the back of that album, Chesney earned his second CMA Entertainer of the Year title in 2006, before retaining the title for the next two years. Similarly he picked up his second ACM Entertainer of the Year gong in 2006, winning in 2007 and 2008 too.

The ‘Just To Say We Did’ singer-songwriter is currently gearing up to release his first ever book, HEART*LIFE*MUSIC, co-written with his longtime friend Holly Gleason.

The project drops on November 4th, and will serve as a vibrant, insightful collection of vignettes that takes readers on a journey through Chesney's storied career.

As we look forward to reading all about the ‘Take Her Home’ crooner's experience of crafting The Road and The Radio, we'll be dropping the needle on this stellar project.

Kenny Chesney's album, The Road and The Radio, is available to purchase on vinyl via Chesney's official store.
