Kenny Chesney has reacted after seeing his custom ‘No Shoes Radio’ branded race cars taking part in the 2026 Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix this past weekend.
In honour of the ‘No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems’ hitmaker's Sphere Las Vegas 2026 residency, two Meyer Shank Racing cars - No. 60 and No. 66 - transformed into homages to Chesney's SiriusXM No Shoes Radio station. Marcus Armstrong drove No. 66 to a sixth-place finish, Felix Rosenqvist in No. 60 ended in 13th.

In an interview reflecting on getting to be a part of the Meyer Shank Racing team in this way, Chesney underlines how excited he was when the opportunity presented itself.
The ‘Just To Say We Did’ singer-songwriter explains, “Well, I have a song called ’Living in Fast Forward’, and that has been my life. When you get to this place in your career, it's not often that you experience a lot of firsts. When I was told this was happening, I went, ’Wow, we get to experience a first all over again, this is really great!’”
Chesney goes on, “I've never had my name, our tour, anything to do with what I do on any kind of a race car. I was stunned at how great it was. I mean, I was stunned. They did such an amazing job...It just looks so incredible and it's really exciting for me”.
The Knoxville native has become synonymous with his sun-soaked, beachside catalogue of chart-toppers, and the Meyer Shank Racing wrap captures the summery spirit of Chesney's music, with blue skies and palm trees adorning the two cars’ bodywork.
Chesney kicks off his eagerly awaited 2026 Sphere Las Vegas shows on June 19th, with the ‘I Go Back’ hitmaker headlining the immersive venue 11 times throughout the summer.
Last time around, the Tropical Country trailblazer brought a plethora of special guests with him, bringing out friends such as Kelsea Ballerini, Megan Moroney, Old Dominion, Mac McAnally, Grace Potter, David Lee Murphy during the groundbreaking residency. That 2025 run made Chesney the first country artist to headline the venue.
