Same, Megan - same.

Ahead of a recent show, Megan Moroney shared a photo of a Florida Georgia Line plaque hanging proudly on a venue wall, seemingly honouring the duo's last shows there.

Of course, Florida Georgia Line are no longer together, with Tyler Hubbard exploring a bright country-pop sound while Brian Kelley doubles down on his sunny, ‘Florida Boy’ brand.

But that doesn't mean we can't still fondly look back and enjoy all the memories they gave us through iconic earworms such as ‘Cruise’, ‘Round Here’ and ‘May We All’.

As Megan Moroney puts it, they're “gone but not forgotten”. It's worth pointing out that a new Florida Georgia Line EP appeared out of the blue on streaming services in June, titled Deep Cuts & Lost Tracks, Vol. 1. There was no original music on this project, with the EP consisting of six lesser-known anthems from the chart-topping duo.

It's most likely just a way of Big Machine, FGL's former label, repurposing some of the band's songs, particularly given how the ‘H.O.L.Y’ hitmakers are still wildly popular on streaming platforms. They haven't been an active band since 2021, but FGL still manage to pull in almost 12 million monthly streams on Spotify alone.

This figure rivals most of the artists that would be considered big-name acts in todays country world, and serves as a reminder that, should THubb and BK ever decide to bury the hatchet and reunite, there would certainly be an appetite for new music.

After their less-than-amicable split and their simultaneous appearances airing out their grievances on Bussin’ with the Boys last year, there have been recent suggestions from either side that Tyler and Brian are perhaps on slightly better terms than they used to be, with the duo commiserating about FGL House closing, for instance. Could this mean we'll be getting a reunion any time soon? Who knows - but as Megan Moroney highlights in this new post, Florida Georgia Line's influence on the country landscape will be felt for years to come, regardless.
