Morgan Wallen's father, Tommy Wallen, returned with another engaging episode of his Tommy's Sunday Seven podcast, which is streamed on Morgan Wallen Radio on SiriusXM.

Tommy Wallen regularly opens his weekly podcast by giving listeners of all faith backgrounds a warm welcome - by offering believers, non-believers, and those somewhere in between the two an invitation to explore the Bible and Christian faith with him.

This week, the father of the country superstar dives into Genesis chapter one, verse 20 and follows the readings to Genesis chapter two, verse seven, where Tommy chooses to elaborate on the very first book of the Bible teaching creation, and more specifically, human creation.

Before delving into this, the Tennessee preacher reflects on Genesis chapter one verses eleven through twelve, giving listeners a glimpse into reproduction of all living things through a Christian lense. "Then God said, 'Let the earth bring forth vegetation: seed-bearing plants and fruit trees, each bearing fruit with seed according to its kind." Tommy Wallen then goes into different types of animals being created by God at this point in the Bible, all while reiterating that every animal, plant and fruit tree would produce offspring of the same kind.

He expresses this specific phrase in the verses to make the point that what God creates to reproduce, creates offspring to be "like itself." He then compares animals, plants, and humans to draw the comparison that one cannot "cross pollinate," "create a hybrid version of itself" or reproduce with a creature other than its own kind.

Tommy Wallen then caps off his biblical line of thinking by saying, "Evolution is not a fact - it's a theory, it cannot be proven, and if really thought about long enough, it even couldn't happen." Reflective on his own upbringing, he mentions how evolution was taught simply as a theory when he was in school, and never as a fact.

Leading to a point where he truly connects with his listeners, Tommy then proposes Genesis chapter one verse 27: "So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." The famous bible quote presents a classic argument against evolution from a Christian lense, where an even stronger argument is found, Tommy continues with Genesis chapter two, verse seven: "Then the Lord God formed man from dust, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being."

While human beings, animals, and plants are all living things, Tommy Wallen doubles down on a biblical message that states humans are set a part in comparison to these other living creatures, furthering his opposition to evolution. With God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit, all joined together replicating God in three parts as one, humans draw a similar comparison that no other living being does - with our minds, bodies, and souls.

The Baptist preacher, ordained into his ministry in 1995, shortly after Morgan Wallen's birth, has been known to preach his Christian views in the hopes of helping people - first through his ministry work in Tennessee, and now through his son's radio channel, reaching an even broader audience, where those views, by default, are subject to an even wider range of opinions.

Like father like son, Morgan Wallen has also been very open about his faith, even when it is considered to be "controversial."

After abruptly walking off stage after his Saturday Night Live appearance in March of 2025, the 'Don't Think Jesus' crooner posted an Instagram story on his way out of New York City, exclaiming "Get me to God's country." While it is rumored that this post was a passing dig at Saturday Night Live, or a retaliation at stones Wallen had felt were being thrown at him, the controversy did show fans and the world surrounding Wallen one thing: this is a country star that stays true to himself and his beliefs, and with episodes such as these in his father's podcast, it is clear where Wallen gets his boldness for his faith from.
