Noah Kahan has always cultivated a close, familial relationship with his loyal fanbase, with the Vermont native still often responding to social media comments and messages, despite now being on the most popular folk artists on the planet.

This conversational and open-armed approach to his listener is, in many ways, an extension of his music. Kahan's catalogue is built upon a foundation of vulnerability, honesty and warmth, with the ‘Stick Season’ hitmaker establishing himself as a modern-day touchstone for how to tackle mental health with kindness.

Now, after toiling away for the best part of ten years, Kahan has attained stratospheric levels of success, and he now stands on the precipice of a brand new chapter.

Kahan releases his new studio album - his first since his Stick Season-fuelled explosion in popularity - on April 24th, The Great Divide. Judging by the lead single of the same name and other tracks Kahan has been teasing, it will be another visceral body of work that solidifies his position in today's musical upper echelon.

Highlighting Kahan's rapid ascent in recent years is the rate at which his tours have expanded. After making his debut at Fenway Park with a double-header in 2024, the ‘Northern Attitude’ will headline the iconic venue with four back-to-back shows this summer. And Boston is not the only city that has needed additional dates being added, with Kahan's 2026 The Great Divide Tour met with immense demand. Some shows had hundreds of thousands of fans in the Ticketmaster queue.

It's been a busy few weeks for Kahan and his fanbase, with the album, single, tour and Netflix documentary announcements all dropping in the space of just a few days. After having the chance to take stock, Kahan has decided to offer some words of thanks to his fans via social media, underlining that he will never lose sight of the perspective and mentality he brought to his music when only a select few were listening.

He candidly reveals that he finds it “Hard to describe how grateful and blown away I am by all of this”, before dropping one of his classic irreverent and self-deprecating metaphors, “Typically I feel like this cold lonely lizard but the last few weeks have me feeling like the mighty tyrannosaurus or another socially accepted reptile and I cannot tell you how important this fanbase and this community is to me”.

Kahan concludes, “I'll never forget where we started and where we are now”. It's evident from both the music and the way he speaks in interviews that he is sticking to this promise, and we cannot wait to hear Kahan's full 17-song record in a couple of months.
