Two unreleased Post Malone songs have appeared in the official ASCAP song database, titled ‘Hell or Hell Tonight’ and ‘Red River Wind’. It's not clear when these tracks were registered, but we're wondering if they're set to appear on Post's next album.

‘Hell or High Tonight’ was seemingly co-written by Post alongside country icon, Luke Combs, as well as ERNEST (who's real name is Keith Smith), Charlie Handsome (otherwise known as Ryan Vojtesak), James McNair, Billy Walsh and Luis Angel Ballaba.

We're hoping this might be a collaboration between Post and Luke, to follow their two gems on F-1Trillion, ‘Guy For That’ and ‘Missin’ You Like This’, with the ‘Circles’ hitmaker continuing to tease his eagerly awaited next country album throughout 2025.

It's worth underlining that a slew of tracks on F-1Trillion were the result of writing sessions with Post, Combs, James McNair and ERNEST, such as ‘Finer Things’ and ‘Nosedive’. Therefore, Combs being a co-writer doesn't guarantee he is a vocalist.

As we don't know when ‘Hell or Hell Tonight’ and ‘Red River Wind’ were registered to ASCAP, it's also possible that both of these offerings were originally penned for F-1Trillion. They could be leftover tracks that never saw the light of day.

During the F-1Trillion rollout, Luke Combs revealed that he often wrote around four or five songs with Post Malone per session, so there are definitely a bunch of unreleased collaborations on a drive somewhere. However, most of these ideas won't have made it past the demo-stage, so for these two to be registered on ASCAP suggests they were completed, and there were plans to release them at some point. Whether these plans are still in place or not remains to be seen.

‘Red River Wind’ was co-written by Post Malone with Louis Bell, Charlie Handsome, ERNEST and country legend, Vince Gill. Post often champions Vince as one of his favourite artists, with the two performing at the Opry during the former's debut.

As a result, if Post has a song with Vince Gill in his back pocket, surely he'd want to release it. We're hoping ‘Red River Wind’ will make it onto his next album's tracklist.

We'll have to wait and see, but either way, with the genre-blending maverick continuing his blockbuster Big Ass Stadium World Tour across Europe, and with Post teasing that he's been in the studio with Jelly Roll, Thomas Rhett and more, we'll be keeping our fingers crossed that he also recruits Luke Combs and Vince Gill for the project - regardless of whether it's these songs, or a couple of new ones.
