What is undoubtedly set to be a song of the summer, Russell Dickerson's 'Happen To Me' just scaled the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart, effectively dethroning Bailey Zimmerman and Luke Combs’ two-week reign with ‘Backup Plan’.
During the frame dated June 27 - July 3, 'Happen To Me' amassed a total of 1.25 million impressions, surpassing its predecessor by tens of thousands.
The infectious new hit is slated to appear on Dickerson's upcoming collection, Famous Back Home, which arrives on August 22. If the dance floor-ready opus is any indicator, the album, which includes previous releases like 'Bones' and 'Heard It In a Country Song', seems poised to be the star's biggest project to date.
According to the frame, the Zimmerman-Combs collab, as well as Alex Warren and Jelly Roll's ‘Bloodline’, are both still holding strong on the chart, coming in at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively. Scotty McCreery and Hootie and the Blowfish's ‘Bottle Rockets’ remains at No. 4, with another Jelly Roll song, 'Heart of Stone', rounding out the Top 5.
Zach Top's latest single, 'Good Times & Tan Lines', is among the week's biggest movers, jumping from its position at No. 36 into the Top 20s after just three weeks on the chart.
There are also several new additions to the radio chart's top rankings, with Riley Green's 'Change My Mind' (No. 34), Dustin Lynch's 'Easy To Love' (No. 45), Randall King and Braxton Keith's 'Cheatin' On My Honky Tonk' (No. 46) and Trisha Yearwood's 'Girls Night In' (No. 50) all entering the Top 50.
