Those who attended the Jonas Brothers' Thursday (Aug 28) night concert at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan likely weren't expecting to see one of country's hottest acts take the stage.
During a stop on the beloved boy band's Greetings From Your Hometown Tour, a concert trek in support of their 2025 release of the same name and in celebration of the group's 20th year together, the sibling trio brought out Russell Dickerson during their two-dozen-song set.
In between performances of throwback tracks, like 'S.O.S', 'Lovebug' and 'Year 3000', as well as showcases of newer Jonas material, Dickerson came out for a boy band take on his hit summer single, 'Happen To Me'.
Together, the four vocalists gave the cheering crowd a high-energy display of the country radio twanger, a song that has seemed to usher in a new and exciting era for the 'Yours' hitmaker.
When Dickerson took the stage alongside the Jonas Brothers in Detroit, it would only be hours before his new album, Famous Back Home, was unleashed onto the world. Dropped in the wee hours of Friday (Aug. 29) morning, the collection features previously released favorites, such as 'Bones' and 'Heard It In a Country Song', as well as the aforementioned 'Happen To Me'.
While the Jonas Brothers and Dickerson's worlds rarely collide, the onstage collaboration seemed a fitting moment for the nostalgia-fueled night.
Dickerson will embark on his own tour beginning tonight, taking the stage at Speaking Rock Entertainment Center in El Paso, Texas. He will take on several dates throughout the fall in support of his new release, making stops at theatres and music halls across North America.
