We all know there's no party like an RD party - and Russell Dickerson proved that once again with his infectious, live-wire performance of ‘Happen To Me’ at today's Macy's Parade.
A staple of the USA's Thanksgiving celebrations, New York's 2025 Macy's Parade featured a host of big-name acts, including Lainey Wilson, Cynthia Erivo and many more.
Dickerson undoubtedly put his hat in the ring for the performance of the day, though, with the ‘Home’ singer-songwriter delivering his viral anthem atop the Jolly Green Giant float.
He had dancers lined up in front of him to keep the energy high, but with an earworm as undeniably catchy as ‘Happen To Me’, Dickerson didn't really need any additional frills or decorations. He showcased his powerhouse vocals throughout, with TikTok already abuzz with fans praising his eye-catching Macy's performance.
Serving as an inventive interpolation of Cyndi Lauper's legendary hit, ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’, Dickerson's ‘Happen To Me’ has cemented itself as one of the Songs of 2025.
Elsewhere during the parade, we were able to witness a stunning performance from reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, Lainey Wilson, who serenaded viewers with two stellar fan-favourites, ‘Somewhere Over Laredo’ and ‘Peace, Love & Cowboys’.
