Sierra Ferrell has offered fans another taste of her forthcoming album, Trail Of Flowers, with the alt-country and Americana maverick today releasing ‘I Could Drive You Crazy’.

Cushioned by a joyful backdrop of rip-roaring fiddles and soaring harmonies, Sierra Ferrell's vocals transport the listener to a raucous sing-a-long in a forgotten, old-timey bar.

The West Virginia singer-songwriter delivers a tongue-in-cheek, self-effacing description of how there are many things she can't do, but one thing she's particularly adept at doing is making her partner ‘crazy’ (“Well, I can't hunt and I can't fish / But I can drive you crazy yes I can / I can't even make a dish / I can drive you crazy yes I can”).

The reference to ‘hunting’ feels particularly pertinent, given the fact that the lead single for Trail Of Flowers was the high-energy anthem, ‘Fox Hunt’, which follows a family as they venture into the woods and attempt to secure some food for the night.

Discussing the creation of ‘I Could Drive You Crazy’, Sierra Ferrell explained, “I was hanging out with some friends and we had an idea for a song where you’re telling someone, ‘I’m not good at this and I’m not good at that, but one thing I can do is drive you crazy’”.

Sierra shared how she added a special twist to ‘I Could Drive You Crazy’, “We decided to put in some audio of my New Year’s Eve crowd at the end, so you can hear them howling on there. I always love getting everyone to howl at my shows - it’s a good, free feeling”.

Sierra Ferrell's sophomore album, Trail Of Flowers, is set to arrive on streaming platforms on March 22, with the project due to include the previously released ‘Dollar Bill Bar’.
