Stella Lefty surprised her Lollapalooza crowd in Chicago, Illinois by revealing that she'll be releasing her keenly anticipated debut album, Long Way Home, on August 21st 2026.

During her high-profile set, the ’Boston’ hitmaker shared, “I feel like it just makes so much sense to tell you guys something that I haven't told anybody else...because I feel at home here and at home with you guys. And so I kind of want to just tell you that my album comes out on August 21st. So I hope you guys like the album, it's called Long Way Home, and it's about the journey of coming back here”.

It's a fitting setting for this blockbuster announcement, with Lefty growing up in nearby Glencoe, Illinois, making her Lollapalooza set feel like a homecoming performance of sorts.

Elsewhere during Stella's stellar set, the fast-emerging artist brought out her boyfriend, Vincent Mason, to perform their infectious 2026 collaboration, ‘Something To Lose’.

Lefty explains, “I wanted to give you guys a little surprise because I thought there is no better audience to give a surprise to than a Chicago crowd, because obviously, Chicago crowds are the best crowds. Alright, I'm going to invite out my favourite person on the planet earth. His name is Vincent Mason, so give it up for Vincent Mason!”

Their link-up showcases how, aside from their obvious chemistry, their voices complement one another incredibly well, leaving us hoping for another duet on Lefty's debut album.

We'll be curious to see whether Lefty will include fan-favourite singles from her recent Is This Heaven? EP, such as the immensely viral ‘Boston’ and ‘I Know I Know’ on the album, or whether the full-length project will consist entirely of brand new material.

Given how quickly Lefty is releasing Long Way Home after Is This Heaven?, and bearing in mind how stratospheric the streaming numbers of ‘Boston’ are, you have to imagine the ‘Thinking ‘bout You’ prodigy will include her popular singles on the project. With ‘Boston’ continuing to cement itself as one of the leading contenders for Summer Song of the Year, the excitement is through the roof for Long Way Home.
