Country music’s new up and comer, Stella Lefty, cites Kelsea Ballerini as someone who has supported her early career.

In a recent interview with Katie Neal via the Katie and Company Radio Show, Lefty and Neal shared their adoration for Ballerini, discussing how she has supported Lefty in the early days of her career and even attended one of her intimate shows in New York.

Lefty’s breakout hit, ‘Boston’, held number 1 on the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart for a record breaking nine weeks and currently has over 133 million Spotify streams. It seems that Ballerini is responsible for more than a few of those streams.

“We just sang Boston over and over again,” Neal recalled of her recent event with Ballerini, where the ‘Patterns’ singer took hold of the music and insisted on Lefty’s hit.

“I love Kelsea Ballerini so much,” responded Lefty, “she is also the most supportive person ever”.

Ballerini, who released her first album, The First Time back in 2015, has an abundance of experience, especially when navigating contemporary country music as a young female.

“She’s an angel, lean into her,” encouraged Neal, “use her as a friend, she’s a wealth of knowledge”.

Lefty shared how she had “freaked out” when she saw that Ballerini was at her intimate New York show, “I was like, what’s happening? What are you doing here?”

With women in country music seeing more radio play, headline slots and number one hits than ever before, we love to see the girls looking out for each other. Like Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert and even Lainey Wilson, Kelsea Ballerini has graduated from mentee to mentor and we couldn’t be happier.
