Thomas Rhett and Niall Horan have shared a one-minute preview of their eagerly anticipated collaboration, ‘Old Tricks’. The full version drops on Friday, October 17th, 2025.
The duo have been good friends for years, with Horan emerging during Rhett's electrifying C2C Festival headlining performance back in 2023 to perform the former's ’Slow Hands’.
But now, at long last, we're getting an official studio duet from the two hitmakers, with Horan jumping on the reimagined version of Rhett's Blake Shelton collaboration, ‘Old Tricks’. The nostalgic offering originally appeared on TR's lauded About a Woman (Deluxe) album, alongside ‘Ain't a Bad Life’ with Jordan Davis.
Rhett and Horan announced the star-studded collaboration with a typically playful, light-hearted post on social media, which showed the duo texting with Shelton, as the latter expresses mock disgust when they reveal he's been kicked off the song.
We're hoping this marks the first of many forays into country music from former One Direction member, Niall Horan, whose intricate, vulnerable songwriting style and ear for killer, stadium-sized hooks lend themselves perfectly to the genre.
As well as being close pals with TR, Horan is also buddies with folk titan, Noah Kahan, with the artists being spotted at a number of golf events together, as well as linking up on-stage in the past. Who knows, maybe even a blockbuster, three-part collaboration between Rhett, Horan and Kahan could be on the cards one day. They all have a love for golf, so perhaps an ode to the links? Watch this space...
