In honour of Anne Wilson making her blockbuster debut on Morgan Wallen's I'm the Problem Tour tonight and tomorrow, we're throwing it back to one of our favourite performances from Anne - a stripped-back take on ‘Praying Woman’ with Lainey Wilson.

If you're heading to Wallen's Lumen Field shows in Seattle, Washington or his dates next week in Santa Clara, California, this stunning acoustic rendition of ‘Praying Woman’ is a handy introduction to Anne Wilson's catalogue of faith-filled anthems. They performed it last summer as part of the Grand Ole Opry's NextStage video series.

The stellar track finds Anne and Lainey - who are no relation, despite sharing a last name - trading verses as they pay homage to all the powerful, spirit-led women in their lives.

What makes it all the more moving is the fact that, throughout the performance, it's clear they're also thinking of one another as they tip their hats to these trailblazers.

Although ‘Praying Woman’ doesn't always make it into Anne Wilson's setlist, the ‘Rain in the Rearview’ hitmaker has an array of similarly soulful earworms that she regularly performs live, such as ‘REBEL’, ‘God & Country’ and ‘Songs About Whiskey’.

In addition, you can expect the Kentucky prodigy to reel off a galvanising performance of her brand new single, ‘God Story’, during which she inspiringly reflects on all the various, divinely-driven twists and turns her life has taken as she's grown.

The infectious song appears on Anne Wilson's new EP of the same name, which arrives on August 1st, and will feature a trio of songs alongside the title-track, including the previously teased ‘Twenty-Three’. It's a heartbreaking yet quietly hopeful reflection on reaching the age at which her brother, Jacob, passed away.

It epitomises the perceptive way in which Anne can combine her visceral, vulnerable storytelling ability with a persistent commitment to lifting up her listeners and offering them reassurance, even when tackling heavy subject matter such as grief.

We can't wait to see what Anne Wilson has up her sleeve for her two Lumen Field shows in Seattle Washington, and we're keeping our fingers crossed Morgan Wallen decides to bring her out for a momentous duet during his headline set.

Either way, it serves as another huge milestone in the Contemporary Christian and Country genre-blender's blossoming career - and one that is undoubtedly well-deserved.
