It's hard to think of a better combo than country music and Christmas...
Kane and Katelyn Brown's heartfelt, CMT Video of the Year Award-winning 2022 collaboration, ‘Thank God’, has been reimagined into a brand new Lifetime movie, titled Thank God: Christmas at Keller Ranch, starring Arielle Kebbel and Tyler Hilton.
The festive film follows a grieving rancher (Maggie Keller) and pro hockey player (Wes Campbell) struggling with a career-threatening injury. As Keller helps Campbell heal from his physical pain, Campbell, in turn, aids Keller with her emotional anguish.
The new project has been inspired by Kane and Katelyn Brown's ‘Thank God’, with the need to lean on faith during difficult times a recurring theme in both the song and film.
The new movie premieres exclusively on Lifetime on Saturday, December 13th at 8/7c, with Kane and Katelyn serving as executive producers alongside Adam Reed, Martha Earls, Timothy O. Johnson, Abbey Sibucao, Carley Smale and Andrew Erin. Smale has penned the script, while Stefan Brogren takes the helm as the director.
‘Thank God’ continues to establish itself as one of the most beloved gems in Kane Brown's catalogue of hits, with the fact that he and Katelyn are husband-and-wife adding to the emotional depth and endearing ambience that permeates the duet.
They teamed up again for Kane's latest album, The High Road, on ‘Body Talk’ and ‘Do Us Apart’, and we're hoping we one day get a full-blown collaborative album from the duo, in the style of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's 2017 project, The Rest Of Our Life.
If such a record should emerge, it's possible it won't be entirely country, with Kane hinting in recent months that he is toying with the idea of venturing into other genres with his next body of work. The ‘Heaven’ chart-topper has been suggesting that a “rebrand” is imminent, as well as teasing an EDM EP inspired by his electrifying, dance-infused collaborations with Marshmello, ‘Miles On It’ and ‘One Thing Right’.
