C2C has announced the live return of Country Music Week, confirming shows in London, Manchester and Glasgow in October.
According to C2C, the events "will recognise and celebrate emerging artists within the broad spectrum of country music, give fans another opportunity to discover UK and US acts early in their career and connect fans with the stories behind the songs".
Following the release of her brand new EP Masquerades and her triumphant C2C set back in March, Tenille Townes will return to the UK for CMW. Her shows include a huge date at Scala in London on Wednesday, October 19th.
Alongside Townes, Caitlyn Smith will play a set of shows following the release of her new album High, while Matt Stell and Elvie Shane will take to the stage together throughout the week.
In a first for the festival, Nashville’s weekly all-female songwriter round, Song Suffragettes, heads to the UK for the first time. A one-hour, weekly live showcase, Song Suffragettes will feature five up-and-coming female US and UK country artists performing stripped-down sets.
In the daytime on Saturday and Sunday, CMW will host a hub at Bush Hall, presenting talks and live music across both days for attendees to enjoy. The line-up for the events are to be announced.
