Morgan Wallen has now launched his 2025 I'm the Problem Tour, with Wallen kicking things off with a spectacular performance at Houston's NRG Stadium on June 20th, 2025.
After a live-wire pre-show walk-out with local legends Andre Johnson and Mattress Mack - and a brand new inclusion of ‘Interlude’ alongside the usual ‘Broadway Girls’ - Wallen treated attendees to an array of hits, deep-cuts and fan-favourites.
He delivered the live debuts of two viral earworms from his widely lauded new album, I'm the Problem, ‘Dark Til Daylight’ and ‘TN’, as well as performing other stand-outs from the project, including the Hot 100 chart-topper, ‘What I Want’, and ‘Just in Case’, ‘Superman’, ‘I'm a Little Crazy’, ‘Don't We’, the title-track and ‘Kiss Her In Front Of You’.
It'll be fascinating to see whether the country titan adjusts his setlist for his second night at the NRG Stadium, with Wallen hinting that ticket-holders can expect two distinct sets.
Before the opening night, Morgan Wallen teased fans with multiple setlist iterations via Apple Music, with Wallen offering up a near-30-song set, featuring deep cuts and fan favorites, as well as an array of standouts from his latest album, I'm the Problem.
But of course, it was never going to be that simple. Shortly after dropping the setlist, the Sneedville megastar then adjusted it, leaving fans wondering if he was hinting he'd be playing a completely different set across each night - particularly when he's booked back-to-back shows at the same venue, as was the case in Houston.
Then, Morgan Wallen changed the setlist a third time, adding in more stand-outs from his new album, I'm the Problem, such as ‘Eyes Are Closed’, ‘Number 3 and Number 7’ and ‘Falling Apart’. It ensured the sense of anticipation was sky-high ahead of his NRG Stadium double-header, when the setlist would finally become a little clearer.
There are 13 songs that remained constant across all the updates, including ‘Kick Myself’, ‘I'm the Problem’, ‘20 Cigarettes’, ‘I Got Better’, ‘Love Somebody’, ‘Cowgirls’, ‘Kiss Her In Front Of You’, ‘Superman’, ‘This Bar’, ‘Cover Me Up’, ‘Last Night’, ‘Just in Case’ and - of course - ‘Whiskey Glasses’, suggesting these would feature at every show, with Wallen adding in others depending on the night. At his first tour-stop in Houston, Wallen indeed performed all of these beloved songs.
There are a host of new additions to the staging this year, too, with Morgan Wallen introducing ‘I'm the Problem’ by grabbing a can of (fake) gasoline and pouring it across the stage, with flames then erupting as he delivers the signature opening lines.
Speaking to Apple Music ahead of the tour, Wallen explained how he's been training hard for these shows, “I spend months at this point getting ready to get on tour, just getting in shape I don’t have to be in any kind of crazy shape to record in the studio”.
The ‘What I Want’ crooner expanded, “With how big my stage is, how much I run around and how much effort that me and the guys put into it, I don’t think you would know that by just listening to my record”. From those thrilling, cinematic walk-outs to his dynamic encores, fans are surely in for a treat all tour long”.
Well, it's safe to say it was worth the preparation, with Morgan Wallen cementing himself as country music's leading figure across this blockbuster I'm the Problem run.
