After bursting on the scene in 2019 with his debut album, Wish You Were Here, singer/songwriter Joshua Ray Walker became known for his colorful, insightful songwriting.
Walker learned to play guitar at age 12 and soon after began gigging around his native Dallas, Texas, playing in backing bands. He wrote his first country song at 19.
After releasing his debut, he followed it with two more albums in just two years: 2020's Glad You Made It and 2021's See You Next Time. The three releases functioned as a trilogy that depicted an array of characters at a "brokedown honky tonk".
A decade after the first song for the trilogy was written, Joshua Ray Walker is releasing the final chapter of his fictional world, See You Next Time. The cast of characters he has been writing about are all gathered for the last night at the honky-tonk. It’s closing time, for the final time.
As he gets closer to the release of his new album See You Next Time, Joshua Ray Walker has shared 'Flash Paper' - a personal, powerful song about his father, who died in November after battling cancer - premiering exclusively with Holler.
