When you think of the global hubs of country music, the remote Danish town of Tønder might not be the first name that springs to mind.

However, over the past few decades, the Scandinavian idyll has been building a reputation for hosting one of the most renowned Americana, Folk and Roots music festivals in Europe.

The 2023 instalment is shaping up to reflect the festival's prestige, with an exciting line-up that includes US alt-country maverick, Sierra Ferrell, along with artists such as Allan Olsen, The Dead South and more.

More recently, country-rock icon, Graham Nash, has been confirmed for the Danish event, as has Kelsey Waldon, Joshua Ray Walker, Michael McGoldrick and Liam Ó Maonlaí. Shane Smith & The Saints and Nickel Creek are other high-profile additions to the stellar 2023 line-up.

Holler will have all the up-to-date coverage and ticket details for Tønder Festival 2023 here.

Sierra Ferrell marks a particularly eye-catching booking for Denmark's country music fanbase, with the West Virginia singer-songwriter being considered by many to be a key part of the new, alt-country wave that's surging across the US.

Also set to perform are the likes of Emily Scott Robinson, The Local Honeys, Buffalo Nichols, Leftover Salmon, Niteworks, The Unthanks, Alisa Amador, Violet Bell and more.

Attendees at Tønder Festival 2022 were able to witness a host of electrifying sets from artists such as Blazin’ Fiddles, The Mavericks, Tami Neilson, Keb’ Mo’, Katie Pruitt and Sean Rowe.
