A matter of hours after Luke Combs teased something major was coming on October 9th, Thomas Rhett has shared a cover of Combs’ ‘Better Together’. The ‘T-Shirt’ hitmaker has added the same date, October 9th, in the caption for his new video, with Combs’ official fan-page, Luke Combs HQ, resharing the clip on Instagram.
Crucially, in the video, Rhett is donning a classic Umbro England FC jersey, which has us wondering if Combs and TR are teaming up for a blockbuster Wembley Stadium show.
Adding weight to this is the fact that, last night, Combs hinted at a tour announcement coming on October 9th, with the North Carolina native sharing a highlights reel from his 2025 run of shows, before confirming what's next would be even bigger.
His Luke Combs HQ page shared their own version of this teaser trailer, which featured map-shaped clues suggesting he'd be touring the US, Canada and Europe in 2026.
This suggests he will almost definitely be coming back to the UK next year, and with Combs having already sold out two nights at the O2 Arena in 2023, surely Wembley Stadium is in his crosshairs - particularly given TR's not-so-subtle hint with the England shirt. Wembley, of course, is the home of the England football team.
What's more, now Dierks Bentley has gotten involved in all the cryptic fun, too, with the ‘She Hates Me’ crooner sharing a cover of Combs’ iconic anthem, ‘When It Rains It Pours’, and adding the October 9th date to the caption, much like Rhett.
With Bentley not dropping any clues relating to England or Wembley, we suspect he might be an opener on one of the other legs - perhaps the US or Canada, for instance.
UPDATE: On Tuesday, October 7th, Ty Myers shared a video of himself covering Combs' song 'I Got Away With You', all while sat in front of Las Vegas Raiders football helmets. The Raiders famously play at the Allegiant Stadium, where seemingly Myers will at the very least be supporting Luke on this developing worldwide stadium tour.
If that wasn't enough, beloved Irish folk-pop trio The Script got in on the act, sharing a video of frontman Danny O'Donoghue covering 'Beautiful Crazy' outside a German beer garden while wearing a Germany football shirt, an Irish bar while wearing an Ireland football shirt, and a dutch cafe bar while wearing a Netherlands football shirt. What links all three? Each of the bars are in London, seemingly confirming that The Script will also join Luke and Thomas Rhett at Wembley Stadium in the English capital.
Furthermore, Slane Castle in Ireland posted a photo to their social media channels of a crowd at the esteemed manor during a concert, with Luke's famous skeleton face projected onto them. This seems to confirm that perhaps Luke has settled on the 80,000 capacity castle rather than Croke Park in Dublin (famous for a Garth Brooks concert or five over the years) for his headline trek.
We're keeping our eyes peeled to see if any other artists join in, as Combs seemingly building a truly titanic, Avengers-style crew of opening acts ahead of his 2026 tour.
