Drake's father seems to have confirmed there's an official ‘Choosin’ Texas’ remix on the way from the Toronto rapper. His dad, Dennis Graham, has reshared a fan-made cover-art for the long-teased remix of Ella Langley's hit single via Instagram.

On his Stories, Graham - who has released a smattering of country songs himself in recent years, such as ‘Don't Leave’ - showed support for a fan's single art for the remix.

He reshared one of Vivid Covers’ mock-ups for Drake's reimagined version of ‘Choosin’ Texas’, which features atmospheric silhouettes of the ‘God's Plan’ crooner and Langley. The latter sits on the horse, while an orange sunset paints the sky behind them.

It feels like the latest clue that Drake is preparing his own version of ‘Choosin’ Texas’, with the self-proclaimed ‘6 God’ sharing a snippet of this new remix via a Houston club set last week.

It came after Drake showed love to Langley's songwriting via an Instagram comment earlier in the summer, and then was spotted singing along side-stage to the ‘Be Her’ hitmaker's performance at her North Little Rock, Arkansas show a matter of days later.

With Drake continuing to tease a mysterious project, titled Fear Of Missing Out, which could be anything from a new album - his fourth of the year, after ICEMAN, HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR - or a documentary to his rumoured 2027 tour announcement.

One of Drizzy's close affiliates, DJ Akademiks, seemingly hinted that Fear Of Missing Out could potentially be a country-leaning project. Given how Drake has expressed his love of the genre throughout his career, particularly through his friendship with Morgan Wallen, and considering how his dad, Dennis, has dabbled in country music, we could see Drake releasing a country record at some point in the future. Whether Fear Of Missing Out will be this moment, we'll have to wait and see.

If it is indeed a new project, which is what various insiders seem to be claiming, we suspect his ‘Choosin’ Texas’ remix will be included on it. Drake confirmed last week that he'd be premiering a new Fear Of Missing Out YouTube live-stream on Tuesday, September 15th. Interestingly, this is exactly four months after his triple-album drop.

And if past Drake rollouts are anything to go by, nothing is a coincidence. There are even fan-theories about the colour-coding of his three albums earlier in the year - red with ICEMAN, blue with HABIBTI and green with MAID OF HONOUR - with Fear Of Missing Out seemingly white. Drake has been referencing these four colours as far back as 2023, in his For All The Dogs collaboration with PARTYNEXTDOOR, ‘Members Only’, as well as hinting at the colour-coding on 2024's ‘CN TOWER’.

We'd be surprised if Drake drops new music on Tuesday, September 15th, given how songs, EPs and albums tend to arrive on Fridays, so perhaps something will be coming on Friday, September 18th. During his ICEMAN rollout, Drake dropped an array of live-streams which started months before the album came out.

Bearing in mind Drake's birthday is in October, and this month is famously ‘his’ month and the inspiration behind his October's Very Own brand, our money is on an October drop-date for Fear Of Missing Out, and, therefore, for his ‘Choosin’ Texas’ remix.
