Josiah Queen's hilarious alter-ego, Josiah King, has followed through on his promise to release a wild, EDM-inspired remix of Queen's hit single, ‘sundays’. The song has been made available to stream today (Wednesday, September 9th 2026).
King has become a fan-favourite character across socials, with the Pit Viper-wearing persona regularly hopping on Instagram to throw tongue-in-cheek shade at Queen.
For instance, recently, King has been trolling Queen for dropping a song called ‘sundays’ on a Friday, as well as dissing a variety of lyrics from the Contemporary Christian Music hitmaker. The funniest part, of course, is that Queen is really just poking fun at himself, making this an ingenious way to promote the new album.
Queen's third record, Damascus Road, arrives on October 23rd, and features viral singles like ‘demons’, ‘judas’, ‘make heaven crowded’ and ‘amazing!’ with Elevation Rhythm.
Although we love the original version of ‘sundays’, we have to admit, King's beat-driven, House-infused remix is pretty darn catchy. It features the same vocals as Queen's rendition, with the addition of a spacey, laser-synth-backed instrumental.
The creation of Josiah King is the latest example of how astute has become with regards to social media, with Josiah Queen creating music and content that resonates with a younger generation of Christians. His new album, Damascus Road, is set to solidify the ‘Dusty Bibles’ singer-songwriter's status as one of the most influential artists in the Contemporary Christian Music landscape today.
