Megan Moroney has teased what appears to be brand new music, just three days after telling fans she's back from vacation.

“2 weeks off feeling crazy wby” was the caption accompanying the post announcing her return to ‘work’. It doesn't look like Moroney spent much time switching off, though, because jsut two days later, she’s teased fans with a snippet of unreleased music.

It’s just Moroney and her guitar, singing choosing her love over the wonders of the world. With lines such as, “I’d take your eyes over every sky in Southern California,” and, “I’d trade a thousand Georgia nights for your kisses in the morning,” the track sounds like a one of her most openly romantic yet.

Given how much attention Moroney's love life has attracted in recent years, Moroney’s romantic endeavours have often been kept close to her chest. Her music has often leaned into independence, heartbreak and revenge, so this softer, doe-eyed love song is something of a surprise.

The song has quickly got people talking in the comments. User mary.shea joked, “Megan writing love songs girl are you okay?!” whilst laurentjoness wrote, “I will be playing this at my wedding and I’ve only heard one verse”. Russell Dickerson’s wife, Kailey Dickerson, has even weighed in with a simple “100 100 100”.

Moroney released her third studio album, Cloud 9, in February this year and is currently in the middle of her largely sold out ‘The Cloud 9 Tour’. Whether this is the first glimpse of a Cloud 9 deluxe edition or the start of an entirely new chapter remains to be seen - but she's certainly got fans talking already.
