During a new episode of SiriusXM's Morgan Wallen Radio, Morgan Wallen has revealed that his beloved song, ‘I'm a Little Crazy’, nearly didn't feature on his 2025 album, I'm the Problem.

‘I'm a Little Crazy’, which serves as the raw, evocative finale to I'm the Problem, has blossomed into a fan-favourite, with the stripped-back feel of the composition and the gritty, eccentric lyrics showcasing a new side to the Sneedville native's artistry.

It's cemented itself as a regular inclusion in Wallen's 2026 Still the Problem Tour setlist, and despite not reaching the same figures of his major radio hits, such as ‘20 Cigarettes’, ‘I Got Better’, ‘What I Want’, ‘Just in Case’, ‘I'm the Problem’ and ‘I Ain't Comin’ Back’ with Post Malone, ‘I'm a Little Crazy’ holds a special place in fans’ hearts.

As the ‘Last Night’ chart-topper explains via Morgan Wallen Radio, the song - which was co-written by his good buddy, HARDY, along with Smith Ahnquist, Hunter Phelps and Jameson Rodgers - was a very late addition to the I'm the Problem tracklist.

Wallen reflects, “‘I'm a Little Crazy’ almost didn't make it. That was one of the last songs that we cut...Sometimes you find yourself at the end of a record just looking for another hit, trying to find a song that you feel is going to be commercially successful”.

He underlines that, despite ‘I'm a Little Crazy’ not standing out as an obvious smash, he felt drawn to it, “I never had that feeling for ‘I'm a Little Crazy’. I never thought that song was going to be a massive hit, but I really loved what it says and what it stands for...Finally towards the end, [I] just got everybody on-board with recording it”.

When Wallen released ‘I'm a Little Crazy’ as one of the pre-album singles, he made a point of explaining that he wanted to give it the spotlight it deserved before the rest of the project dropped, due to the rich, visceral songwriting that underpins it.

He concludes, “Now it's been out for a little while...I do see the difference with the way this song is performing”, before stressing that commercial success was never the motivation for releasing it, “To me, it was just an important piece of saying what I wanted to say”.

It's fascinating to hear Wallen admitting ‘I'm a Little Crazy’ was one of the last songs to be added to the project, given how it feels like the perfect full-circle track to conclude the album. Even based on the titles alone, it feels intentional to kick off the project with a song called ‘I'm the Problem’ and to end it with ‘I'm a Little Crazy’.

We're hoping that, particularly as Wallen experiments more with his sound and utilises the creative freedom he's now earned by being one of the biggest stars on the planet, he continues to dive into the pared-down, edgier textures of ‘I'm a Little Crazy’.
