Mumford & Sons surprised their Kansas, Missouri crowd with a performance of the Ted Lasso theme-song, which Marcus Mumford co-wrote with Tom Howe for the Apple TV series.

Marcus also helped composed the overall score for the series, which follows an American football coach, Ted (Jason Sudeikis), as he takes the helm of a British Premiere League side.

It's a wonderfully joyful and hopeful story, and we can't wait for the first episode Season 4 to drop on Wednesday, August 5th, with Ted returning to the UK from his hometown in Kansas to coach the newly formed AFC Richmond Women's team.

Mumford & Sons’ rendition of the Ted Lasso theme-song was greeted by a chorus of cheers from the Missouri crowd, especially given Ted's status as a loyal Kansas native.

In the recently released Ted Lasso Season 4 trailer, you can hear Mumford & Sons and Hozier's evocative single, ‘Rubber Band Man’, soundtracking clips of the forthcoming season.

Elsewhere during their set at Morton Amphitheater, Mumford & Sons serenaded the crowd with stand-outs from their stellar new album, Prizefighter, such as ‘The Banjo Song’, ‘Run Together’, ‘Shadow of a Man’ and ‘Here’ with Medium Build.

Next, the folk trailblazers bring their arsenal of stomp-and-holler anthems to Atlanta, Georgia tonight (Tuesday, August 4th) for a keenly anticipated show at State Farm Arena.
