Parker McCollum has rescheduled two upcoming shows to welcome his second child with his wife, Hallie Ray.

Following his 29th July performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, McCollum took to Instagram to share he was heading home to be with his family ahead of the arrival of baby number two. Parker and Hallie Ray welcomed their first child, Major Yancey Tyler McCollum, in August 2024.

His July 31th Kansas City show has been rescheduled for 12th September while the 1st August show in Omaha will now take place on 10th September. Existing tickets will remain valid for the new dates.

The change comes during another busy year on the road for McCollum whose 2026 tour has taken him across arenas and amphitheatres through out the US, with further dates still scheduled through the coming months which comes to an end in late September. He will then tour overseas for the first time to support Cody Johnson in the United Kingdom.

It has been a strong year for Parker, who continues to grow from one of the state’s most popular live acts with fans online calling for bigger venues.

For fans affected by the postponements, disappointment is understandable. Concerts often involve travel, hotels and carefully made plans. But McCollum’s decision is also a reminder that the artists on stage are people too and some moments cannot be moved to another date. Whereas a show can.

Luke Combs has previously spoken publicly about the regret he still feels at missing the birth of his second son Beau while touring Australia in 2023. Combs watched the birth remotely, later describing it as one of the best and worst days of his life.

That story makes McCollum’s decision easy to understand. He has the opportunity to be home for the birth of his son and is taking it, while still ensuring both concerts go ahead a few weeks later. The shows will be there in September, but this moment won’t. A huge congratulations to the McCollum family.
